The Pipestone County Highway Department is responsible for the planning, engineering, and coordination of the construction and maintenance of a safe and efficient county-wide highway system.

In fulfilling these objectives, the department must promote and maintain a high degree of understanding and cooperation with the County Board of Commissioners, local units of government, the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, as well as other State and Federal agencies.

The department’s responsibilities extend over the highways and bridges on our County State Aid (CSAH) systems and our County Highway (CH) system. The department also provides design and administration support for bridge replacement under the jurisdiction of the local townships.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to responsibly serve the public by providing effective services that will enhance development, growth, and quality of life...
