Jailer/Dispatcher
Part Time – Female
The Pipestone County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a part-time female Jailer/Dispatcher to start after screening and interviews. The position will work on an intermittent, on-call basis, varying hours and days, including weekend duty. Hours based on need. Potential for 30-40 hours per week during first 2-3 months in position. Primary duties involve dispatching, maintaining security, and supervision of inmate activities.
Requirements: HS diploma or GED, minimum of 18 yrs old, minimum of 3 years previous work experience with the public, good verbal/written communication skills, valid driver’s license, basic keyboarding skills. Desirable skills/experience include 2-way radio and/or telephone training/experience, previous professional or responsible experience in emergency situations, CPR, First Aid, EMT.
