- Burn Permits are issued to rural County residents free of charge and are good until property ownership or location changes. All burning must be called in prior to starting your fire. Information needed when calling is your permit number, section and township and what you will be burning.
- All county permits issued in 2015 or later do not need to be renewed unless changes are needed.
- City of Pipestone permits are issued to residents free of charge and are effective for (1) year.
- To obtain a permit, please stop at the Pipestone County Sheriff's Office at 416 Hiawatha Ave S. Pipestone. Monday - Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM
- Rural burn permits need to be called in to the Pipestone County Sheriff's Office at (507) 825-1100 BEFORE burning. Recreational burn permits issued to City of Pipestone residents do not need to be called in.
